Kayla Whatley
Licensed Professional Counselor
When it comes to the counseling process, I am one who believes there is no one-size fits all approach. My practice involves working individually with clients to understand and tailor evidence-based treatments that fit each person’s unique needs and concerns. My passion also rests in providing mental health care services to underserved populations, such as individuals in foster care and who have dyslexia. Throughout my counseling experience, I have adopted a person-centered approach with my clients so that congruence and genuineness can be established.
At the core of my practice, I aim to help individuals discover their strengths through guided work focused on emotional health and wellbeing. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, college-aged individuals, and families as they navigate challenges related to depression, trauma, defiance, anxiety, ADHD, and more.
Just as I am an advocate for change within the mental health field, I am one who believes in seeking help when circumstances get to be just a bit too heavy. As your counselor, I will devote my time into making your counseling experience one that is valued, collaborative, and restorative through a safe, non-judgmental environment.
