“There is no one-size-fits-all approach. I tailor evidence-based treatment to each person's unique needs and concerns.”

About Kayla Whatley

When it comes to the counseling process, I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach. My practice involves working individually with clients to understand and tailor evidence-based treatments that fit each person’s unique needs and concerns. I am also passionate about providing mental health care to underserved populations, such as individuals in foster care and those with dyslexia. Throughout my counseling experience I have adopted a person-centered approach so that congruence and genuineness can be established.

At the core of my practice, I aim to help individuals discover their strengths through guided work focused on emotional health and wellbeing. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, college-aged individuals and families as they navigate challenges related to depression, trauma, defiance, anxiety, ADHD and more.

Just as I am an advocate for change within the mental health field, I believe in seeking help when circumstances get to be a bit too heavy. As your counselor, I will devote my time to making your counseling experience one that is valued, collaborative and restorative, in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
